IDS 2025
our review from Cologne
We brought the future of digital dentistry to life at first hand and impressed visitors with our innovative concept. At our 300 m² stand, visitors were able to experience live the safe working processes with zirconium oxide, the use of coloring liquids, stains and texture pastes as well as 3D printing to create perfect models.
Our close collaboration with Komet Dental under the motto "Zirconia meets precision - knowledge connects" demonstrated how networked thinking and the optimization of laboratory processes lead to outstanding results. The cubeGuide supports dental technicians in creating highly esthetic restorations.
One highlight was our "Meet your Expert 2.0" program, which enabled a direct exchange with experts and made the potential of digital dentistry tangible. We also proudly presented our new zirconia material DD cubeY HL, which sets new standards in the incisal area with its warm "yellow esthetics" and stability of over 800 MPa.
Interview: "Working safely with zirconia" with Prof. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Martin Rosentritt, University Hospital Regensburg
Moderation: Marianna Schmalstieg, Team Leader Research and Development, Dental Direkt
The IDS interview between Prof. Dr. Martin Rosentritt and Marianna Schmalstieg deals with the topic of "Working safely with zirconia" in dental technology. The focus is on avoiding errors during processing - particularly with regard to design, post-processing, sintering and finishing. The specific identification of the most common sources of error is becoming increasingly important, particularly in view of the fact that zirconia is a versatile material whose esthetics and application have improved considerably over the years. The growing complexity of the various types of zirconia requires sound knowledge for safe and careful handling of the material.
Interview: "Additive vs. subtractive manufacturing - efficiency and precision in dentistry" with PD Dr. Andreas Keßler M.Sc., University Medical Center Freiburg Tanja Bücken-Thielmeyer, Product Manager, Dental Direkt
Moderation: Gerrit Scholz, Director Technology and Innovation
In the IDS interview, PD Dr. Andreas Keßler M.Sc., Tanja Bücken-Thielmeyer and Gerrit Scholz talk about the development and application of 3D printing in dentistry. The focus will be on the question of when additive and when subtractive processes should be used. 3D printing has now established itself in dentistry, but is still in a dynamic development process. Does the future lie in the targeted combination of both manufacturing methods, supported by continuous material innovations? Andreas Keßler, Tanja Bücken-Thielmeyer and Gerrit Scholz address these exciting questions in this interview.
The overwhelming response at IDS 2025, the positive feedback from our partners and customers and an exuberant trade fair stand party confirm our commitment and motivate us for the future.t.
